Kat
Lead Veterinary Assistant
In 2022, Kat became a valuable member of the Veterinary Roots family, contributing her extensive experience in veterinary medicine to one of our sister hospitals, Bothell Pet Hospital. Today, she supports our team at Lynnwood Animal Hospital as a Veterinary Assistant, utilizing her expertise to tackle new obstacles and hone her skillset. Additionally, Kat is working to complete her Licensed Veterinary Technician degree.
Before Vet Roots, Kat worked at several top-tier veterinary clinics across Western Washington, where she developed her surgical and general patient care knowledge, with a special interest in emergency surgery and dentistry.
Kat believes that at Lynnwood Animal Hospital, we’re one big family that helps each other achieve a shared goal: aiding our patients back to health. βBeing able to care and provide comfort for my patients is my top priority,β Kat shared. βMaking them feel better through love and support is what keeps me passionate about this work.β
Kat can’t imagine herself in any other field and strives to provide the highest quality care to all patients and clients. We’re thrilled to watch Kat’s veterinary career blossom at our hospital and see where her passion takes her.
Volunteer Work
Kat enjoys volunteering at Old Dog Haven, a beloved nonprofit based in Oak Harbor, Wash.
Home Life
Kat cherishes spending time with her daughter and relishing in the bountiful activities that the Pacific Northwest provides, such as fishing, hunting, and camping. Pets completing Katβs happy home: Luna, a super crazy and sweet 10-year-old Husky; Storm, a very quiet and lazy Betta fish; and Jeff, a 1-year-old domestic shorthair cat who showed up as a very loving stray and quickly joined the family.
