Laura
Lead Client Care Coordinator
Since entering the veterinary medicine field in 2002 working on a kennel-staff team, Laura has gained more than 20 years of invaluable experience β including her roles as a Veterinary Assistant in South Carolina and office manager at a previous Washington animal hospital. These two decades have been filled with learning, researching, and, of course, caring for pets and clients. We are thrilled that Lauraβs veterinary career has led her to support our Lynnwood Hospital team as our Office manager and Lead Client Care Coordinator.
Laura’s favorite thing in life is working with animals. βSimply put, I love animals,β she shared. βI knew as a small child that Iβd work with animals as either a vet or biologist β and Iβve ultimately wound up mostly in the veterinary field.β Although veterinary medicine became her primary focus, Laura continues to lean on her biology background. Research-oriented and committed to staying on the pulse of medical development, Laura is always evolving her skillset.
This work offers Laura the frequent luxury of meeting pets, talking about animals, and implementing organizational systems. She enjoys all opportunities for collaboration and values listening above all else, especially when problem-solving for our clients. Putting herself in the clientβs shoes, Laura makes a point to express her understanding and execute an action plan only after listening and thinking carefully.
With her wealth of veterinary knowledge, attention to detail, and compassionate care, Laura ensures that our patients and clients are in the best hands.
Volunteer Work
Laura enjoys helping to keep harbor seals safe from intrusions and educating locals about pinnipeds by volunteering for Seal Sitters at Edmonds Beach in Edmonds, Wash.
Home Life
Laura is a self-proclaimed taxonomy nerd who loves to write, read science fiction, study phylogeny, and crochet in her free time. Although she doesnβt have any pets at the moment, (rest in peace to her beloved, Sweetie), Laura enjoys chilling and working with our clinic kitties, Rocky and Eski.
